A quick and easy recipe for a thick chocolate spread that can be used as a dip, a quick simple frosting, a filling for a chocolate filled pastry, or just eaten as a quick snack. My favorite treat has become a low carb tortilla with this spread on it and rolled up like a chocolate taquito.
This recipe is going to go by quick, blink and you’ll miss it.
In a small bowl combine 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (room temp: solid or soft), 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and 2 tablespoons of powdered sweetener (we use swerve confectioners, but one could grind erythritol or xylitol in an herb or coffee grinder). Mix ingredients together with a spoon or fork until thoroughly combined into a thick chocolate paste. And that’s it. It’s that easy. One last important note, this will harden if chilled.
